Free XML sitemap generator and checker

Make a clean, Google-ready sitemap from a list of links, a CSV or an old sitemap. We remove duplicates and wrong links, fix dates, add images, and split big sites automatically. No page limit, no sign-up, on your device.

This tool needs JavaScript. Please turn it on, or open the page in a current browser.

How to use this tool

  1. Add your links Paste links, drop a CSV or paste an old sitemap.
  2. Choose options Keep real “last changed” dates and image links. Priority and changefreq are off because Google ignores them.
  3. Review fixes See what was removed or fixed: other websites, duplicates, tracking links, Indian date formats.
  4. Download and upload Download sitemap.xml (or a ZIP for big sites) and upload it to the top folder of your website.
  5. Check any sitemap Paste an existing sitemap to find broken XML, raw & characters and wrong dates.

List only pages you want in search

  • Leave out redirects, 404 pages, noindex pages, login and cart pages.
  • Use the final https link of each page, the same one as its canonical tag.
  • One sitemap covers one website. Subdomains such as blog. need their own.

Dates

  • Add “last changed” dates only if they are true. Google uses lastmod only when it is consistently accurate.
  • Change the date when the main content changes, not for a new copyright year.
  • Format is YYYY-MM-DD. We convert DD/MM/YYYY for you.

Limits and submitting

  • Each file can hold 50,000 links and 50 MB. Bigger lists get an index file.
  • Submit in Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools, and add a Sitemap line to robots.txt.
  • Submitting is a hint, not a promise that every page will be indexed.

Questions about this tool

Is there a page limit?

No. Paste as many links as you have. Lists over 50,000 links are split into several files with an index.

Should I set priority and changefreq?

Google says it ignores them. They are off by default; you can turn them on for other search engines.

Can it find my pages by itself?

Finding pages automatically needs our server and will work after launch. Today, export the page list from your website platform or Search Console.

Why were Tamil or Hindi links changed?

Sitemaps need encoded links. Tamil and Hindi characters become %E0%AE… codes. Browsers and Google read them as the same page.

Is my list uploaded?

No. Everything runs in your browser.
