- Set targets and check campaigns Get a target ROAS for the profit you want, and paste campaigns to see which to scale or fix.
Why Ads Manager ROAS is not profit
- It counts orders that later return (RTO), so revenue is too high.
- It ignores product cost, shipping, fees and GST on ads.
- Compare your ROAS with the break-even ROAS shown here, not with a general “good ROAS”.
Improve profit
- Cut RTO: confirm COD orders on WhatsApp, offer small prepaid discounts, and check addresses.
- Raise order value with bundles and free-shipping thresholds.
- Move budget from “fix” campaigns to “scale” ones, step by step.
About GST on ads
- Google Ads in India is invoiced by Google India with 18% GST. Check your invoice for other platforms.
- If you are GST registered and add your GSTIN, you can usually claim this as input tax credit; ask your CA.
- Enter order value before GST so GST you collect from customers does not look like profit.
Questions about this tool
What is a good ROAS?
It depends on your margins and costs. Any ROAS above your break-even ROAS makes a profit. This tool calculates your break-even from your own numbers.
What is RTO and why does it matter?
Return to origin: a COD order the customer refuses or cannot receive. You pay shipping both ways and get no revenue, so a high RTO rate can wipe out profit.
What is POAS?
Profit on ad spend: profit before ads divided by ad cost. Above 1 means the ads paid for themselves and left profit.
Should I include GST on ad spend?
Yes, unless you claim it back as input tax credit. Tick the box if you do.
Is my data saved?
