Questions about this tool
301 or 302 for SEO?
301 for permanent moves. It tells Google to use the new address.
Do redirects slow my site?
Each redirect adds a little time. Chains of 3 or more are noticeable on phones.
Where is .htaccess?
In your website’s main folder (often public_html). Turn on “show hidden files” in File Manager.
Why does the check show an example?
Following other websites’ redirects needs our server, which goes live after launch. The rule maker works now.
Can I redirect a whole old domain?
Yes, but that needs a domain-level rule from your host or Cloudflare; ask us in the live version.
