JSON rules people often miss
- Keys and text need double quotes: "name": "Priya".
- No comma after the last item, and no comments.
- Use true, false and null in lower case.
Safe sharing
- Remove passwords, API keys and tokens before sharing JSON. This tool warns you when it sees them.
- Do not paste customer data (phone numbers, Aadhaar, PAN) into online tools that upload it. This one does not upload anything.
- Long ID numbers stay exact here; some tools round them.
Good to know
- Repair guesses what you meant. Always check the result.
- Duplicate keys are allowed by some parsers but the last one wins; we warn about them.
- CSV cells that start with =, +, - or @ get a quote mark so Excel does not run them as formulas.
Questions about this tool
How do I find the error in my JSON?
Paste it in. The tool shows the line and column, explains the problem in plain words, and “Go to error” moves the cursor there.
Can it fix broken JSON?
Yes. Repair fixes comments, single or curly quotes, unquoted keys, extra or missing commas, True/False/None and unclosed brackets.
Will big numbers like order IDs change?
No. Numbers are kept exactly as written, even very long ones.
Can I convert JSON to Excel?
Yes. Choose CSV and download. Excel opens it directly. Nested fields become columns like address.city.
Is my JSON sent to a server?
No. Everything runs in your browser, and nothing is saved.
