How to use this tool

  1. Add your images Drop images or a folder, or tap Choose images. JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF and BMP files work.
  2. Pick the formats Tick one or more formats under Convert to. Each image is saved in every format you tick.
  3. Set quality and background Move the quality slider for JPG and WebP. JPG and BMP cannot be transparent, so pick the colour for empty areas.
  4. Check what changed Each image shows its new size and notes, such as transparency filled or metadata removed.
  5. Download or make a PDF Download one file or all as a ZIP. To join images into one PDF, choose a page size and tap Make PDF.

Which format to choose

  • JPG: photos, and most government and job portals.
  • PNG: logos, screenshots and anything with transparency or text.
  • WebP: websites. Smaller than JPG at a similar look, with transparency.
  • ICO: website favicons (sizes 16 to 256 px in one file).

What changes when you convert

  • Transparent areas become your background colour in JPG and BMP.
  • Animated GIFs keep only the first frame.
  • Camera details (EXIF, GPS) are removed.

Good to know

  • Converting a JPG to PNG does not bring back lost detail; the file just gets bigger.
  • TIFF and BMP files are large because they are not compressed.
  • iPhone HEIC photos are not supported yet.
